profile: kimberley gordon founder of wildfox & self professed sleepover professional, midnight snacking expert, and curator of all things dreamy and feminine

When we imagine Kimberley Gordon, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Wildfox, we picture a rainbow haired glittery princess living in Barbie’s Dream House who eats cotton candy for breakfast with a spirit that evokes the girly-girl inside everyone she touches. And if you follow her pinkalicious instagram @wedreamoficecream (& if you don’t you def should) you would know that Kimberley is a huge Britney Spears fan who uses Brit Brit’s music videos as a source of inspiration. Hello!? our obsession meter just went through the roof. Basically, we want to be Kimberley’s BFFs…and we want to live in that Dream House with her…and eat confetti icing with a spoon…while wearing Wildfox 24/7.

The deuxmoi gals have loved this whimsical and sometimes ironic clothing line forever. Who can forget Wildfox’s famed Spring 2013 Lookbook “We’re The Kids In America” depicting Cher Horowitz and her squad (if you don’t know who that is there’s no help for you, sorry) OR when they debuted the shredded sweater that has been draped on every celeb from Taylor Swift to Alessandra Ambrosio OR their foray into sunnies which has easily become the most coveted accessories amongst young trendsetters. All this Wildofx fabulousness got us thinking…we NEED to know more about Kimberley.

Born in England and “raised in the rain”, Kimberley moved to California at the age of eleven. With interests that range from movies & acting to photography & drawing, Kimberley fell into design later in life.  Kimberley and her bestie Emily started Wildfox based on Kimberley’s passion for ultimate story telling and the magic of their long lasting friendship. Initially influenced by vintage tee shirts, today Wildfox has grown to include a full range of tops, bottoms, dresses, and skirts. Their White Label collection offers a range of luxuriously soft sweater knits, laces, chiffons, velour, and sequins and Wildfox Kids, the “little sister” adaptation of the women’s line, launched in 2009. In August 2015, Wildfox expanded into the beauty category with the debut of its first fragrance, in partnership with Elizabeth Arden.

Wilfox’s soft dreamy designs are created in Los Angeles and run by a company comprised of 98% women who Kimberley says “are like my sisters”. UGH, could we love you any more?!? #girlpower! Not surprising, since Kimberley counts her girlfriends as one of her main muses. Feeding off her own surging creative energy, Kimberley is involved in every aspect that drives a collection…casting, styling and producing a shoot that will take you to another place. You will want to be the Wildfox girl and live in her world and who wouldn’t want to live in a world filled with cupcakes and pink clouds?!?

You can see Wildfox’s complete collection at and check out Kimberley’s dope inspiration blog

“I started a blog so that everyone could be inspired by other artists to create, learn, photograph, paint, design, party, dress up, and be happy. Inspired by friends, love, camping, dreaming, riding around in cars, driving along the coast, beautiful books, witches, poetry, movies, faeries, dreams, Los Angeles, and the earth, I hope to remind people to be wild, have fun, and get lost in their dream…”
