rooney & kate mara, serena & venus williams, kate & pippa middleton and the queens of celebrated sister duos…mary kate & ashley olsen. there is something about a sister/sister team that is intriguing and empowering. so when sisters Laetitia Stanfield and Selina McPherson teamed up to create ROARKE New York greatness was bound to ensue. ROARKE, which is most widely known for their beautifully and intricately designed scarf necklaces that have adorned the necks of every IT girl (see jessica biel below), create strikingly unique necklaces, bracelets and anklets and a small collection of kaftans that are perfect for your next vaca or over skinny jeans while boppin’ around the city (we are stylists, trust us). Laetitia, a former buyer for bergdorf goodman who founded the company in 2009, and Selina’s designs are inspired by textures and patterns influenced from their trips to destinations around the globe, as well as their parisian and new york up bringing.
and this wouldn’t be a deuxmoi profile with out some do-gooding…all ROARKE pieces are designed in new york but hand beaded by communities in india. ROARKE is proud to support the artisans in these regions which have their own niche in the embroidery world. love that ROARKE gals!
ROARKE New York is available through high-end retailers or at www.roarkenyc.com. find out more about Laetitia and Selina and see their “favorites” below…
